Game Overview

More War: The Return Of The Horde came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by X:treme Entertainment International. It was one of those expansions that built directly on the foundation of Warcraft II, offering a familiar real-time strategy experience for players still deeply invested in that era of PC gaming.

You control the Orc Horde, managing resources, building up your base, and commanding units like grunts and knights across over a hundred new maps. The main goal is to overwhelm enemy bases through careful expansion or aggressive rushes, depending on the scenario. Signature mechanics include screen-by-screen exploration of varied terrain, managing gold and lumber supplies, and engaging in direct combat with a mix of melee and ranged units. The pacing can be frantic; some maps force you to scramble for resources early, while others encourage all-out assaults from the start. It feels like returning to a well-worn battlefield where every decision matters immediately.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
