Play Prince of Wateria Online

You’re a prince in soggy pajamas hopping between lily pads while fish try to knock you into the drink—miss a jump, and you’ll feel that old-school MS-DOS frustration before nailing it. The whole thing plays like a half-remembered dream where crabs chuck rocks and nothing makes sense, but in a good way.

Game Overview

Prince of Wateria is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that somehow sticks with you. You play as this prince—decked out in what looks like pajamas—jumping across floating lily pads and dodging fish that apparently have a personal vendetta against royalty. The controls are janky in that nostalgic way where you’ll miss a jump three times before getting the timing right, but when you do, it feels weirdly rewarding.

The whole thing has this dreamy, waterlogged vibe—like someone took a children’s storybook and turned it into a platformer. There’s no deep lore or complicated mechanics, just simple puzzles and enemies that range from "annoying seagull" to "why is that crab throwing rocks at me?" It’s short, silly, and the kind of game you’d play on a lazy afternoon when you want something charmingly low-stakes.

Honestly, half the fun is how unabashedly retro it feels—the colors are way too bright, the music is borderline chaotic, and the prince’s running animation looks like he’s late for a very important tea party. If you’ve got a soft spot for forgotten DOS oddities, this one’s a surprisingly fun way to kill an hour.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
