Play Return of the Phantom Online

Return of the Phantom came out in 1993 from MicroProse, a developer known for strategy and simulation games. It was a point and click adventure for MS-DOS, released during a time when the genre was crowded with ambitious titles, some more successful than others. The game tried to blend mystery with supernatural elements, drawing loosely from the Phantom of the Opera mythos but taking its own path.

You control a detective pulled back in time to 1890s Paris, tasked with solving a murder while navigating a world of shadows and suspicion. The gameplay involves careful exploration, collecting items, and solving puzzles that often require keen observation. You interact with characters, combine objects in your inventory, and avoid traps or dead ends that can halt progress. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow, and the puzzles can be obscure, demanding patience. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
