Game Overview

River Run came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Run Productions. It was one of those straightforward, unpretentious titles from the era, built for quick sessions and focused gameplay rather than elaborate stories or graphics.

You pilot a small plane through a narrow, winding canyon, constantly adjusting altitude to avoid rock walls and low bridges. Your main goal is to survive as long as possible while collecting fuel canisters to keep flying. The mechanics are simple but demanding: you use arrow keys to steer up and down, tap the spacebar to fire at destructible obstacles, and must constantly judge gaps and timing. The pace is fast, and mistakes are punishing; one wrong move ends your run. It feels tense and immediate, like a high-speed test of reflexes and precision.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
