Play Ryuusei No Rockman - Green Dragon (J) Online

Swinging Green Dragon’s claws feels weighty—you dodge, pick your next attack mid-combo, then tear through enemies with these brutal slashes. The Japanese text doesn’t matter when bosses explode into flashy chaos.

Game Overview

Ryuusei No Rockman - Green Dragon is one of those DS games that somehow flew under the radar outside Japan, which is a shame because it’s got this weirdly satisfying mix of action and RPG elements. You play as Rockman (or MegaMan if you grew up with the English names), but this time he’s got these dragon transformations that actually change how combat works—Green Dragon’s my favorite, with these sweeping claw attacks that feel way more brutal than the usual blaster.

The battles are half real-time slashing, half tactical pauses where you pick your next move, and it takes a minute to get used to. I kept button-mashing at first until I realized timing your dodges actually matters. The story’s all in Japanese, but there’s enough visual flair and over-the-top boss fights that you can kinda vibe with it even if you’re just here for the combat. That one sewer level with the neon lights? Weirdly gorgeous for a DS game.

If you’ve played any of the other Ryuusei games, this one’s got the same energy but with way more dragon. Worth digging up if you like your RPGs with more teeth.
