SD Fighters is this goofy little arcade brawler where all the characters look like chibi versions of themselves—big heads, tiny bodies, the whole deal. You’ve got eight to pick from, like a sumo wrestler who somehow looks even rounder and this one lone female fighter who kicks way above her weight class.

Matches are fast and simple—just three buttons for punches, kicks, and jumps, but you can pull off some surprisingly slick throws and special moves once you get the timing down. I kept accidentally throwing people at first, but after a few rounds, I was pulling off combos like a pro (or at least like someone who didn’t mash buttons randomly).

It’s the kind of game where you’ll lose track of time trying to beat your high score against the AI or trash-talking your friend in versus mode.
