Your main goal is to clear a path for him to reach the exit on each stage. You have to stack blocks carefully to create stairs and platforms for him to climb, while also clearing lines to manage the rising stack. If the blocks crush the explorer or reach the top, you fail. The pace is tense; you're constantly balancing the need to build structures with the pressure of the ascending playfield. It feels like a race against your own mistakes, and pulling off a clean rescue is deeply satisfying.
