Game Overview

The Flintstones: Dino - Lost in Bedrock came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Hi-Tech Expressions. It was one of those early PC platformers that tried to capture the feel of the cartoon, back when licensed games were often simple, colorful, and aimed at younger players or families.

You control Dino, the family pet dinosaur, through a series of side-scrolling levels set in and around Bedrock. The main goal is to find and rescue Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm, who have wandered off and gotten lost. You jump across platforms, avoid obstacles like falling rocks and bubbling lava pits, and use Dino's ability to chomp bones (which act as projectiles) to defeat enemies like saber-toothed cats and pterodactyls. The pacing is fairly straightforward but requires careful timing, especially when navigating narrow ledges or dodging hazards. It feels like a light, cartoonish challenge that captures the show's playful spirit without being overly complex.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
