Game Overview

I first played Touché: The Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer back in 1995, when U.S. Gold released it as part of their MS-DOS Classic Games series. It was a point-and-click adventure set in 17th-century France, and it fit right in with the kind of games that were popular on PC at the time: detailed pixel art, dialogue-heavy interactions, and a story that unfolded at your own pace.

You control Geoffroi, a young musketeer-in-training, as he investigates the theft of a will and uncovers a deeper conspiracy. The gameplay revolves around exploring locations screen by screen, collecting items, and solving inventory-based puzzles. You use a right-click context menu to interact with objects and characters, and your sarcastic manservant Gaston often chimes in with unhelpful advice. The pacing is deliberate, and some puzzles can be quite obscure, requiring patience or a notepad. Playing it feels like stepping into an illustrated storybook where every conversation and discovery pulls you further into its world.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
