Game Overview

Xevious 3D/G is basically the old-school arcade shooter you remember, but cranked up with 3D visuals that actually make the landscapes feel alive. You're still piloting that little ship, dodging enemy fire while bombing ground targets—except now the terrain has depth, and those classic enemy patterns hit differently when they're coming at you in full 3D.

At first, it feels familiar, but then you notice the subtle tweaks—the way enemy formations curve toward you or how explosions ripple across the terrain. It’s not just a reskin; the extra dimension changes how you approach dodging and aiming. Still brutally tough, though—some habits from the original don’t translate, and I definitely crashed into a few mountains before adjusting.

If you’ve got nostalgia for arcade cabinets but want something that doesn’t just look like pixels stretched on a screen, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect the 3D to go easy on you.
