Dragon Strike came out for the NES in 1990, published by FCI. It was one of the few games that tried to bring a first person dragon riding experience to the console, a pretty unusual concept at the time. You don't see many games where you're actually controlling the dragon from its own perspective.

You pilot a dragon through a series of missions, flying over landscapes and diving into enemy castles. Your main goal is to defeat rival dragons and destroy ground targets by breathing fire or using a claw attack. The game uses a first person view for flight and switches to a third person side view for close combat encounters. It moves at a fast pace, but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially during dogfights. Controlling the dragon feels heavy and deliberate, making each successful strike satisfying.
