Game Overview

AD&D Dragon Strike is this weird little NES game where you control a dragon in first-person, flying around and blasting other dragons out of the sky. The controls feel stiff at first—like you're wrestling with the dragon instead of riding it—but once you get used to the awkward turns, there's something oddly satisfying about lining up a fire breath attack just right.

The levels are short, mostly just flying through canyons or over castles while enemy dragons swoop in. The graphics are rough even for NES, with blocky sprites and choppy movement, but the D&D theme gives it some charm. I remember one fight where I barely won after circling the same dragon for what felt like minutes, both of us missing most of our shots.

It's not deep, and the novelty wears off fast, but AD&D Dragon Strike has a weird, clunky appeal if you're into old-school flight combat games.
