Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs is one of those DS games that makes you wish you had tiny dinosaur arms just so you could high-five yourself. You start by picking your dino—I went with the T-Rex because, well, obviously—and then it’s straight into smashing other dinosaurs in arena battles. The fights are simple but satisfying, with timed attacks and special moves that feel brutal in the best way.
What surprised me was the customization. You can tweak your dino’s colors and armor, which sounds minor until you realize your velociraptor looks way cooler in neon green. The arenas have hazards like lava pits, so positioning matters more than you’d think. It’s not super deep, but for a handheld brawler where you chomp on stegosaurs, it’s weirdly addictive.
Just don’t expect Jurassic Park levels of realism—this is more like dinosaurs on WWE, and honestly, that’s exactly what I wanted.
