Dragon Isles was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I don't recall the original developer or publisher. It came out during that era when PC games were often built on simple, ambitious ideas, and this one fit right in with its fantasy setting and straightforward goals.

You control a young dragon rider tasked with exploring a chain of floating islands to rescue captured hatchlings. Movement is screen by screen; you fly your dragon through side scrolling areas, avoiding environmental hazards like floating rocks and enemy projectiles. On foot, you delve into small dungeons, using a basic sword to fight goblins and find keys. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty comes from precise timing rather than complex mechanics. It feels like a condensed adventure where every small victory matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
