Game Overview

Dragon Master is one of those classic 2D fighters where you pick a character and just go wild. There are eight fighters to choose from—some look like they stepped out of an 80s action movie, others seem like they train in secret dojos. I kept going back to Dark Man because his moves just felt right, but Gloria’s kicks are stupidly fast once you get the timing down.

Matches are best of three, and after you plow through the main roster, you’ve got three brutal bosses waiting. Mozard in particular has this obnoxious grab move that still catches me off guard. There’s even a weird little bonus stage where you smash everything in sight for extra points—feels like a throwback to old arcade games where high scores actually mattered.

Best part? You can drag a friend into it for some couch versus chaos. Just don’t blame me when they start yelling about cheap special moves.
