Play Final Fantasy XII - Revenant Wings (J) Online
Command tiny armies with swipes and taps, summoning Espers to flank enemies while Vaan’s crew bickers between battles. It’s RTS chess with that FF sky-pirate drama crammed onto the DS screen.

Game Overview
Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings on the DS is basically a pocket-sized RTS with that classic Final Fantasy flavor. You're still following Vaan and Penelo after FFXII, but now you're wrangling little squads of units in these quick, tactical battles that somehow feel perfect for the small screen.
At first I thought the touch controls would be awkward, but swiping to move units and tapping to attack actually works way better than button-mashing would've. The Espers you summon—Ifrit, Shiva, all the usual suspects—are way more fun to deploy here than in most FF games, since you're actually positioning them like chess pieces against enemy formations.
It's got that weird FF charm too: one minute you're strategizing elemental weaknesses, the next minute some sky pirate is monologuing about crystals in broken English (it's the Japanese ROM, so expect some... creative translations). The story's lighter than XII's political drama, but there's still enough airship battles and weird lore to keep it feeling like Ivalice.
If you ever wished FF Tactics had more real-time chaos or wished an RTS had more chocobos, this weird little DS spinoff might surprise you.
