Game Overview

Kings Quest: Quest for the Crown (Enhanced VGA) came out in 1987 from Sierra On-Line, a big name in MS-DOS adventure games back then. It was one of those early titles that really showed what a home computer could do with graphics and story, before everything got so complicated.

You control Sir Graham, a knight sent by the king to recover three magical items stolen from the kingdom. You move him screen by screen through forests, caves, and castles, typing commands to interact with objects and characters. The game involves careful exploration, solving environmental puzzles, and avoiding instant death traps (like that aggressive goat near the bridge). It moves slowly, demanding patience and attention to detail; mistakes often mean starting a section over. Playing it feels like carefully piecing together an old, fragile map where every decision matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
