Play Lunar - Dragon Song Online

You play as Jian, a delivery boy who ends up hunting monsters and juggling weird choices—like picking between XP or loot after fights—while classic turn-based battles play out automatically. The anime-style world feels nostalgic, but those little quirks keep you on your toes.

Game Overview

Lunar: Dragon Song for the DS is one of those RPGs that feels cozy and familiar if you've played older Lunar games, but with some quirks. You play as Jian, a delivery boy who—of course—gets roped into saving the world after a simple monster hunt goes sideways. The story’s got that classic Lunar charm, with young heroes, anime-style sprites, and four ancient dragons tied to the goddess Athena.

Combat’s a bit different this time—no running around like in previous games. Instead, it’s more like Final Fantasy where your party auto-attacks the nearest enemy unless you tweak their tactics. The touchscreen handles menus and skills, which works fine, though I kept forgetting to check the top screen for stats.

Weirdest thing? You have to choose between getting EXP or loot after battles, and money only comes from selling items. It’s an odd system that makes you think twice before grinding. Not my favorite Lunar, but if you’re nostalgic for the series, it’s got enough charm to stick with.
