Game Overview

I remember playing The Berenstain Bears Learning At Home: Vol 1 back in the day. It came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Sound Source and published by Sanctuary Woods. This was typical for the era, a simple educational title designed for young kids just starting to use a computer.

You control Brother Bear, moving him around the family's treehouse and the surrounding woods. The main goal is to complete various learning activities, like matching shapes, solving basic math problems, and identifying colors. The gameplay is screen by screen; you click to navigate between locations and interact with objects to trigger mini-games. The pacing is slow and forgiving, meant for practice rather than challenge. It feels like a gentle, guided tour through some very basic preschool lessons.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
