BIG MATH ATTACK! came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Davidson & Associates. It was one of those educational titles that tried to make learning feel less like homework and more like an actual game, something a bit more engaging than the typical drills of the era.
You control a cannon at the bottom of the screen, and your goal is to prevent numbers from reaching the ground by solving equations and typing the correct answers. The numbers fall from the top, each tagged with a math problem, and you have to blast them before they pile up. The pace starts manageable but quickly escalates, with the music tempo increasing as the screen gets more crowded, adding genuine pressure. It turns basic arithmetic into a race against time, and even if you know your math, keeping up requires real focus.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
