Game Overview

Caveman Ughlympics came out in 1988 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Dynamix. It was a simple, colorful sports game from a time when PC gaming was still mostly text adventures and pixelated sprites. You didn't need a fancy setup or a manual the size of a phone book to get into it; it was just pure, silly fun.

You control a team of cavemen competing in absurd prehistoric events like mate tossing, club throwing, and pterodactyl riding. The main objective is to win each event by performing better than the computer opponents or a second player. Signature mechanics include frantic button mashing to build up power before a throw, and awkward, momentum-based controls for events like the dinosaur race. The pacing is quick, event to event, but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially in timing-based challenges. It feels like controlled chaos, where every success is a small victory against the game's stubborn physics.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
