Game Overview

I remember playing Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers: The Adventure in Nimnul's Castle on MS-DOS back in the day. It was one of those classic Disney platformers from the early 90s, developed by Capcom and published by Hi Tech Expressions. The game fit right in with the era's side-scrollers, offering a straightforward but engaging take on the cartoon's charm without trying to reinvent the wheel.

You control either Chip or Dale, each with their own strengths; Chip can throw apples farther, while Dale's apples arc higher. The goal is to rescue Gadget from Professor Nimnul's castle, navigating through rooms filled with enemies like robot dogs and dripping wax traps. You explore screen by screen, collecting acorns for points and health, and occasionally switching characters to solve simple puzzles or reach tricky platforms. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty feels fair but keeps you alert, especially in later stages with more complex enemy patterns. It feels like a tight, focused adventure that captures the spirit of the show without overcomplicating things.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
