Classic NES - Castlevania is one of those games that feels simple at first, but the difficulty sneaks up on you fast. You start with just a whip and some stiff jumps, but soon you're timing attacks between Medusa heads flying in arcs and skeletons respawning the second you turn your back.

The GBA version keeps the original's pixel-perfect challenge, where every pitfall and enemy placement feels deliberate. I remember getting stuck on Death for days, learning his scythe patterns while my sub-weapons ran out. When you finally beat a tough section, it's satisfying in a way modern games rarely match.
