Play Dungeons & Dragons - shadow over mystara Online

If you've ever wanted to smash skeletons with a morningstar while your buddy accidentally sets you on fire with a misplaced fireball, Shadow over Mystara is your game. This arcade brawler takes the usual side-scrolling beat-em-up formula and dumps a whole bag of D&D dice into it—in the best way possible.

You pick from six classic D&D classes (I always go Thief—sneak attacks and trap detection just feel right), each with their own quirks. The Elf plays nothing like the Dwarf, and the Mage? Good luck not burning through all your spells before the first boss. What’s cool is you actually find gear as you go—swapping out swords, grabbing potions, even stumbling on secret paths if you poke around enough.

It’s chaotic with four players, especially when someone triggers a trap or the Cleric forgets they can turn undead. The pixel art holds up surprisingly well, especially Synn’s dragon form looming over everything. Just don’t expect to see the true ending on your first try—this game loves hiding alternate routes behind obscure choices.

Basically, it’s the arcade cabinet you’d crowd around with three friends, quarters lined up on the screen, arguing about who gets to be the Fighter this time.
