Play Final Fantasy IV (Japan) (Rev 1) [En by J2e v3.21] Online

Cecil ditches his dark knight gig after realizing his king’s a jerk, then everything spirals—airship fights, backstabs, and Kain being the worst wingman. That ATB system keeps battles tense, and yeah, you’ll die to that dragon.

Game Overview

Final Fantasy IV on SNES is one of those RPGs that still holds up surprisingly well. You start as Cecil, a dark knight with serious guilt over his kingdom’s shady orders, and within the first hour, you’re already dealing with betrayals, airship battles, and a wild cast of characters—like the loudmouth dragoon Kain and the white mage Rosa, who’s way tougher than she looks.

The combat’s got this snappy Active Time Battle system where you can’t just sit there forever deciding—enemies attack on their own timer, so you’ve gotta think fast. Some of the difficulty spikes are brutal (looking at you, Mist Dragon), but the story’s so good you’ll push through. Also, the soundtrack? Absolute bangers. That overworld theme still gets stuck in my head.

This version’s the original Japanese release with an English patch, so no weird censorship or changes from the old US "Final Fantasy II" version. Just pure, unfiltered 16-bit JRPG magic.
