Game Overview

Putty Squad on MS-DOS is one of those weird, wonderful platformers that makes you go, "Wait, why didn’t more games do this?" You play as this stretchy blue blob—like if Play-Doh came to life and decided to be a hero. Instead of jumping on enemies, you squish, inflate, or flatten yourself to get around. Need to reach a high ledge? Stretch up like taffy. Spikes in the way? Puff into a balloon and float over. It’s chaotic in the best way.

The levels are these bright, cluttered playgrounds where half the fun is figuring out how to break them. I spent way too long just messing with the physics—accidentally turning into a wobbly pancake or getting stuck in a door because I didn’t stretch *quite* right. And that soundtrack? Pure ‘90s synth cheerfulness, like someone bottled Saturday morning cartoons.

It’s a shame this was almost lost to time—it’s got that perfect mix of simple controls and "wait, how did I even pull that off?" creativity. If you ever wanted a platformer where the main character feels like a sentient gummy bear, this is your game.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
