Play Surf Ninjas Online

Dodge waves while slashing enemies mid-air, then parry a boss attack just before wiping out—somehow this ridiculous mashup of surfing and ninjas just clicks. The pixel art’s rough, the speed’s wild, and yeah, you’ll eat sand a few times before it feels smooth.

Game Overview

Surf Ninjas was a 1993 MS-DOS release from Konami, a company better known for their arcade hits and console franchises. It arrived during a period when PC gaming was still heavily influenced by arcade design, with straightforward action titles that prioritized quick reflexes over complex narratives. The game took a goofy concept, blending surfing and ninja combat, and ran with it in a way that felt perfectly at home on a platform filled with experimental, often bizarre, genre mashups.

You control a ninja riding a surfboard across side-scrolling stages, using a sword to slash airborne enemies and deflect incoming projectiles. The main goal is simply to survive each stage, navigating environmental hazards and defeating a boss at the end of each level. Key mechanics include performing mid-air slashes while jumping over waves, timing parries to send enemy attacks back at them, and collecting power-ups that temporarily enhance your weapon or provide limited invincibility. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving, demanding precise jumps and split-second reactions to enemy patterns. It feels chaotic and a little janky at first, but once the rhythm clicks, there's a genuine thrill in carving through foes without wiping out.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
