Play The King of Dragons Online

Game Overview

Ever wanted to hack and slash your way through a classic fantasy world with a bunch of misfit heroes? The King of Dragons on SNES is exactly that—a side-scrolling brawler where you pick between a burly fighter, a holy cleric, a nimble elf, a fireball-chucking wizard, or a grumpy dwarf with an axe bigger than he is. Each one plays totally differently—I kept going back to the elf because I liked peppering enemies with arrows from a safe distance, but the wizard’s screen-clearing spells are pretty satisfying too.

You’ll plow through short, punchy levels packed with goblins, skeletons, and the occasional dragon (because of course), grabbing better gear along the way. The bosses are no joke—some of them take up half the screen—but figuring out their patterns feels great when you finally take them down. It’s got that classic arcade vibe where you’ll probably die a lot, but you’ll always blame it on the controls (even if it was totally your fault).
