Game Overview

Arnie Savage: Combat Commando is a high-energy MS-DOS action-platformer and the sequel to the 1992 Amiga/C64 title Arnie. Developed in-house by Zeppelin, the game pits players as a muscle-bound commando battling through four intense levels: sabotaging a chemical plant, storming an airfield, leaping between battleships in a hostile harbor, and raiding a jungle POW camp. Each stage is packed with enemies—riflemen, tanks, helicopters, and more—many firing relentlessly from fixed positions, while foxholes endlessly spawn foot soldiers. To survive, Arnie relies on quick reflexes, an arsenal of weapons (including limited grenades for crowd control), and strategic pickups like health kits and extra lives dropped by fallen foes.

True to its era, the game emphasizes fast-paced, run-and-gun gameplay with a straightforward but punishing challenge. While enemy patterns are predictable, the sheer volume of threats demands precision and aggression. Its no-nonsense design and explosive action make it a solid pick for fans of classic arcade-style shooters, offering a tough but satisfying dose of 90s-era combat.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
