Game Overview

Bomberman Jetters on the GBA is basically Bomberman meets a light RPG adventure—which sounds weird, but it works. You play as either Bomberman or Max (I always went with Bomberman, honestly) trying to stop the Hige Hige Bandits from wrecking Planet Bomber with their creepy artificial planet, Dark Star. The whole thing feels like playing through an episode of the anime, complete with little story bits between levels.

Instead of just maze-like stages, you’ve got towns to wander, NPCs to talk to, and these big, multi-part dungeons where you’re bombing switches, solving puzzles, and fighting enemies. The four Dark Star engines you need to destroy are basically the game’s "big bosses," and some of those fights get surprisingly tense for a Bomberman game.

Oh, and of course there’s the classic multiplayer mode—up to four players, same old chaotic bomb-dropping madness. It’s not as deep as something like Super Bomberman, but it’s still a blast if you’ve got friends around. The whole package feels like a weird but fun experiment for the series.
