Game Overview

Remember those old arcade tank games where you'd just shoot stuff and hope for the best? Combat Tanks on MS-DOS is basically that, but with the added charm of pixelated explosions and that satisfying clunk sound when your shell connects. You start in this tiny maze-like map, and suddenly there are enemy tanks everywhere—some just sit there like idiots, others actually try to flank you. The controls are dead simple (arrow keys and spacebar, because of course), but dodging shots while lining up your own gets surprisingly tense.

What I love is how unapologetically straightforward it is. No upgrades, no story—just you, a tank, and increasingly chaotic battles where walls get blown apart and suddenly you're cornered. The two-player mode turns into pure chaos, especially if your friend insists on camping behind a single brick wall the whole time. It’s the kind of game you boot up when you’ve got 10 minutes to kill and end up playing for an hour.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
